All of Paris Orly 13 car rental desks can be found in either the airport’s West and South terminals,so you may need to jump on a shuttle to reach your chosen company’s office depending on which terminal you arrive in. If you’re planning to drive straight into Paris city centre after you pick up your car, there are two straightforward routes: either take the A6 via Porte d’Orléans or Porte de Gentilly, or alternatively head down RN7 via Porte d’Italie.

Most Affordable: Dollar

Book at RentalCars.com

Paris can be an expensive city to visit, so you might want to save some cash with a cheap car hire. When it comes to affordability, we found that Dollar offer the best value. They have a good range of basic but reliable cars such as the Peugeot 208 and Chevrolet Spark, both of which can be picked up for around £120 per week, and the company has excellent customer reviews as well. As an added bonus, Dollar run a special “Lock Low and Go” deal whereby if you book early you can secure yourself a larger car than the rate you paid would normally get you.

Best for families: Sixt

Book at RentalCars.com

Sixt cater for families better than any other rental company at Paris Orly Airport, based on our research. Not only do they have an impressive choice of larger, family-friendly cars – including a number of Estates – available at a reasonable price, but they also have consistently excellent customer reviews. What’s more, if you arrive out of hours due to a late flight, you don’t have to worry, as you can pre-book (for an extra charge) to allow you to pick up your car even if Sixt’s desk is shut. Speaking of which, you may want to note that their offices are open from 7am – 11pm midweek and 7.30am to 11.30pm on weekends.

Best for luxury cars: Europcar

If you’d like to push the boat out and cruise around Paris in something a little more eye-catching, then we recommend Europcar. Their choice of luxury and sports cars is significantly better than any of its rivals, with prestigious models such as the Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class all among Europcar’s fleet. Customer reviews are strong too. One other point to remember is that they regularly offer special deals for specific destinations, including France, so it’s definitely worth looking out for them during your online search. Office hours are 6am to midnight every day of the week.
