The Baltimore Orioles welcome travelers from all over the Mid-Atlantic region and the country for games of America’s favorite past time. Currently fifth in the AL East, this team has been around for quite a while, one of the American League’s eight charter teams, founded in 1901. If you’re on the hunt for some of the cheapest Orioles baseball tickets this 2019 season, then you’re in the right place. We’ve rounded up the three best places to buy Orioles tickets, and included information for you on what kind of tickets prices and fees you can expect.
If you want to be absolutely certain that your secondary Orioles game tickets are legit, from regular season tickets to playoffs tickets, then you want to buy your Orioles tickets from the official MLB fan-to-fan marketplace: Stubhub. This site is a great place to search for tickets to the game of your choosing, and it has a very easy-to-use search feature that makes picking your game, your section and even down to your seat a breeze. Additionally, Stubhub generally has a good variety of tickets available, at prices that can be cheaper than what you’ll find elsewhere.
Let’s take a look at a future game, so you can see what kind of ticket prices and fees you might come across when you’re searching for your own Orioles tickets. For our purposes, we’ll take a look at the July 13 afternoon game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles. Tickets start at around $15 each. There are a lot of lower-level seats left, which is great if you’re looking for the best seat possible, but not that many upper-level seats left, which is where you’ll find the best prices. Regardless of where you sit, though, you won’t be paying that much, as even lower-level tickets behind home plate are less than $100 each. Let’s pick a seat on the lowest level, right behind third base. Tickets are $40. When you select your ticket, you’ll get a photo of the view from that particular seat, and an option to add parking ($19) and even have physical tickets delivered to your door via UPS. Do note that, with some of Stubhub’s tickets, you are required to purchase two seats together, and can only purchase one lone seat in special circumstances. Beyond the $40 ticket fee, expect an approximately 24 percent service fee and a $2 fulfillment fee, bringing the cost to $52 per ticket.
If you’re not keen on purchasing secondary tickets, and would prefer to buy primary Orioles baseball tickets, you can go to TicketMaster, which — despite what some may think — isn’t a resale platform at all, but the official ticket provider for several MLB teams, including the Orioles. Search through your game options (though you won’t be able to see prices until you actually pick a game, unfortunately) until you find the one you want and then you’ll be easily prompted along through the purchasing process.
If you look at the same game from above, you’ll find that the tickets range from $15 to over $100. However, TicketMaster has far more tickets available than Stubhub for this particular game. If we want the same section and row as above, you’ll see the same tickets are, in this case, $130 each, because TicketMaster is selling them as part of an “exclusive premium package.” Additionally, you’re only able to receive these tickets via mail, which adds a $5 charge. The total fee for this seat is $146.75, following service and processing fees, and the delivery fee. As you go through the purchasing process, TicketMaster also alerts you that the price is predicted to go up, as more individuals purchase tickets.
