Like all self-respecting towns and cities across the US, Cleveland has a burgeoning brewing scene worthy of attention. These days, the scene has mushroomed to include dozens of craft and micro-breweries, each one doing creative things with hops, crafting IPAs, pilsners, stouts, and the occasion divisive gose to keep you bar hopping for weeks. Try out a few of them with the benefit of local expertise on this selection of three tours, each one offering a different style of beer-tasting experience.

Sip of Cleveland Guided Brewery Tour

City Brew Tours does the driving so that you can do the drinking. And on this particular excursion, you’ll be doing just that at three breweries across Cleveland. Brick & Barrel, and Great Lakes and Terrestrial brewing companies are big names in the local beer scene with good reason. Each one offers a uniquely-styled taproom, where you’ll find a variety of beer styles, including Terrestrial’s infusion beers. Each tour also includes access behind the scenes to see how the beers are created. Tours run Wed-Sun. From $120 per person.

Cleveland Guided Craft Brewery Tours with Lunch

If visiting three breweries sounds like a light night out, you can up the ante and add a fourth brewery, all with tastings, that would mean you get to try up to 16 beers over five hours. And if that sounds like a dream scenario, but for the danger of drinking on an empty stomach, lunch is thrown into the mix for free at Collision Bend Brewing Co., paired, of course, with beer. This tour runs on Sat and Sun only. From $140 per person.

Half-Day Cleveland Brewery Tour

For beer aficionados keen to pair beer tasting with a lesson on the city’s brewing history, there’s this private tour. Meet the brew masters at a number of different contemporary breweries, and have tastings in at least four of those locations. The price listed is for groups of up to five people. Budget at extra $50 per head for the beer tasting fees at the breweries. Tours run Tue to Sun. From $465 per group.
