Where to Find the Best Kauai Vacation Packages & Deals

Nicknamed the “Garden Isle,” Kauai is the fourth-largest island in Hawaii and a popular vacation destination year-round. The stunning island has activities for everyone – like hiking along the shore on Kalalau Trail or relaxing on Hanalei Bay, a scenic beach with mountains as the backdrop. The famous Na Pali Coast State Wilderness can be enjoyed via a helicopter ride, a kayak tour or on a hike.

Due to its popularity, it can be hard to find discounted package deals to the island of Kauai. TravelMag has compared some of the largest online booking sites to highlight those that consistently offer savings for couples and families planning a trip to Hawaii.

Priceline

TravelMag’s top recommendation for family vacation packages to Kauai is Priceline. Travelers can easily bundle their flights to and accommodations in Kauai’s different areas, like Poipu and Kapaa. We found that a family flying from NYC to Kauai could save anywhere from $100-500 per person on a 5-day, 4-night trip. Priceline’s search functions allows for properties to easily be sorted by star rating, guest rating or amenities. Priceline also offers top-notch customer service and generous cancellation policies (though we recommend reading the fine print before booking).

Expedia

We suggest checking your travel dates on Expedia, as they also have bundled options for cheap vacations in Kauai. A couple flying from Los Angeles to Kauai saved anywhere from $30-100 per person when booking 2-3 months in advance. Property availability was limited when searching for a last-minute trip. For added convenience, travelers can add a rental car to their bundled trip. Expedia makes it easy to modify or cancel most reservations, though we encourage travelers to read the policy details before committing to a purchase.
After the flights and hotels are booked, it’s time to start thinking about your time in Kauai. Viator is a one-stop shop for browsing the different tours that are available on the island. Explore Kauai by plane in a 1-hour island air tour for $145 or sail along the Na Pali coast during sunset on a 4-hour dinner cruise for $130. There are also options to book a helicopter tour, a zipline tour or an off-roading ranch tour, among many others. Should your plans change, most of Viator’s tours offer free cancellation.
