Milan, the capital of Italy’s north

The commercial workhorse of Italy, Milan is no renaissance beauty like Florence. But don’t dismiss it – the fashion capital makes for a perfect long weekend, with a lively café scene, hip canal-side bars, and cultural gems such as Da Vinci’s The Last Supper and the immense Duomo.
