A striking medieval city set in the midst of some of England’s most beautiful countryside, York is one of the country’s most academic cities. It might be small compared to London or Manchester but that hasn’t made it any less popular with students either; York has twice been voted the best student city in England. It’s home to two prestigious universities and a handful of reputed colleges, as well as a thriving nightlife, quirky independent shops and that infamous ‘northern hospitality’. There’s also a wealth of excellent accommodation options for students. With so many to choose from, we’ve selected five of the best student accommodation in York based on location, price, facilities and reviews.
