Our car rental company review results
To discover which rental car suppliers offer the best vehicles and service across our three categories, TravelMag.com evaluated the policies, value, fleet availability reviews of each AUS car rental company. Review our detailed findings below!
For car rental price paid, renters will find Alamo to have the best value. Their rates are steeper than their runner-up, Fox Rent A Car, but customers agree the vast vehicle selection and exceptional service at the AUS Alamo location are well-worth the higher rate. That said, single travelers or couples looking to save the extra cash for souvenirs will find very low rates with Fox Rent A Car. But these rates come with limited vehicle selection and considerably lower ratings in customer satisfaction. Be sure to take this into consideration; sometimes paying a little more for better service and vehicles is the best way to go.
Budget’s Austin Airport car rental counter beckons business travelers to take advantage of their convenient Budget Business Program. Members enjoy points and rewards towards free rentals, and this location receives some of the best reviews for ease of service. Opening at 6 a.m. and closing at 1 a.m., their hours are also the most convenient of all available car supplier options. Enterprise came in at a close second, but their shorter operating hours and Budget’s lower rental rates kept them just behind their competitor this time.
You will pay a little more than competitors (to be fair, AUS car rental rates are not very low to begin with), but for travelers who desire the true luxury car experience, Hertz is the company to go with. We searched many dates and rental lengths in our review and their selection of premium and luxury cars available did not fail to impress—even on busy dates. For instance: Alamo often offers lower rates than Hertz, but their premium car choice is the Chevy Impala versus the Nissan Maxima that Hertz offers. This, along with their great service, makes Hertz your Austin Airport car rental company for the best selection in luxury cars.
