Every room features a fully stocked kitchen (including utensils and dishware) that lets budget-minded travelers cook in their rooms comfortably while engaging in cost-effective travel. Long term travelers will also like the convenience of having onsite coin laundry. This is a popular spot for business travelers, being in close proximity to major offices (AT & T is less than five minutes away). Another major feature in the immediate area of this hotel is the expansive Summit Birmingham Mall, which houses numerous well-known stores, chain restaurants as well as a 16 screen multiplex movie theater.
The Residence Inn by Marriot Birmingham Downtown UAB is all about location, location, location. However this central, hip location, right in the Five Points South Dining and Entertainment District, near UAB comes with a higher price tag. Downtown Birmingham is known for its galleries, hip bistros and cultural wealth that promotes the unique “southern hospitality” the area is famous for. Well-configured, large rooms have been designed to allow for plenty of space in which to work- and to relax- perhaps while watching the flat screen TV. Travelers off all kinds will be pleased to be able to cook in their rooms with the convenient, fully-stocked in kitchens. It’s all about creating a residential feel and making available the small touches of home while you’re on the road- like having immediate access to laundry facilities onsite and Wi-Fi in your room. The room rate at this budget friendly hotel offers extra value with a grab and go breakfast offered daily. This hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool- a nice little extra. Roadside travelers will like this hotel’s close proximity to I-65, which means quick and easy access to the highway. It’s located in the quiet suburb of Homewood, and is close to a number of restaurants and shops.
With a snazzy red brick exterior, this moderately priced extended stay hotel has gone to great lengths to be fashioned in residence style. The Towneplace Suites Birmingham Homewood has recently been renovated. Not only does each room have a full kitchen, making life easier (and cheaper) when you are traveling, letting you cook your own food, these kitchens have upgraded, sleek appliances, adding an extra element of style. This pet-friendly hotel has separate spaces for sleeping, eating and working. Guests can choose between studios, one or two bedrooms. There is a fitness center onsite and a seasonal pool as well. Its suburban location means that it is close to a number of outdoor recreation options as well, like numerous golf courses located within a 10-mile radius. Shopping is aplenty, with a number of shopping malls nearby, including the Wildwood Shopping Center. There are a number of major points of interest nearby as well, like the Birmingham Jefferson Conference Center and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

There is also a gym and an outdoor grill area, so you can even cook out during your stay. It is situated in the suburb of Homewood, within easy access to a number of suburban shops and restaurants.
