Whether you are visiting Rehoboth Beach for a family reunion, a team-building outing with colleagues or celebrating key life events from birthdays to bachelorette parties, there are plenty of perfect tours to get things off to a great start. These four options explore the best of the winery and micro-brewery scenes in town. Please note that all entries on this list are private group tours and require a minimum of eight people to operate.

Delaware Beaches Craft Beverage Tour

Getting the day started right, this four-hour craft beverage tour combines sampling of all the fun drinks into one package. During the tour from 11am-3pm, you’ll tap into the Beer, Wine and Spirits Trail of Southern Delaware, visiting some of the state’s best wineries and breweries. Stops include a tasting of craft beers or fine wines and there’s also a visit to a place where handcrafted spirits are made. For bachelorette parties, it’s useful to know that the bride gets a free place on the tour on Sundays. From $95 per person.

Wine & Lavender Garden Tour

Delmarva Discovery Tours, a highly rated local company, offers a broad range of wine and beer tours in Rehoboth Beach and the surrounding area. One of the more popular iterations is this four-hour private tour, which stops at: a local vineyard for a wine and mead tasting, a wine infused cocktail at a local distillery, and at a nearby lavender farm. The latter is in full bloom in early June, although there are other plants in flower for much of the rest of the year. From $95 per person.

Wine, Lavender & Baby Lambs Tour

As though wine, spirits and lavender weren’t enough of an enticement, this organic farm alternative to the above tour takes guests to a family-run, mixed farm in Millsboro, roughly 18 miles away from Rehoboth Beach. This tour is best taken in spring and summer, when newborn lambs are frolicking in the fields and the lavender is at its most resplendent. Later, head to Salted Vines Vineyard and Winery, a popular stop, not least of all because of the wine flights you’ll be able to try there. From $95 per person.

Rehoboth Beach Beer Garden Tour

For anybody looking to avoid hitting the bottle too early in the day, there is one evening beer tour in Rehoboth Beach taking place on Fri and Sat evenings each week. This tour of three of the city’s best brewery beer gardens even keeps to the outdoors, which makes it a safer choice during the pandemic era. Setting out at 4:30pm, you will sample a range of each brewery’s own craft beers over the four-hour jaunt, from pilsners to hoppy IPAs. From $95 per person.
