Belize is a vibrant Central American country that has become a popular cruise ship destination. With access to both the Caribbean Sea and the dense inland jungle, it is a place that offers adventure by the bucket load. Due to the coral reef, Belize City has a tender dock, meaning that ships anchor off the coast, with a 15 to 20 minute boat ride to the shore. Once there you have access to a number of activities – but it makes good sense to book these in advance to save hassle. Here are five unique Belize city excursions.

Belize City: Cave Tubing & Zipline Adventure Tour

Cave tubing and ziplining have quickly become two of the most popular activities in Belize – this trip is fairly unique in that it offers the opportunity to do both on the same day. After meeting the guide at the Cruise Ship Terminal, you’ll be heading to the rainforest to explore Mayan Caves during a tubing adventure. All kit is provided, including helmets, headlights, life vests, and inner tubes. Following the tubing it’s time to change into dry clothes and drive to the zip-line site to experience six different lines – the longest one is about 750 feet (229 m) and about 100 feet (30 m) high. At the end of the tour you will be dropped back at the Cruise Ship Terminal. From €103.59.
