If  you’re staying in Liverpool for any length of time and want to avoid the cost of a hotel, there are a number of accommodation platforms that list properties in the famous UK city that are available for short-term rent. As is the case around the world, Airbnb continues to dominate the local short-let scene; however, there do remain some alternatives, especially in the monthly rentals market. We’ve picked out three of the best.

Booking

Booking.com are our top choice for sourcing furnished apartments in Liverpool for periods of anything from a few days up to weekly rentals of a fortnight. The online accommodation giants have a globally renowned reputation and are known first and foremost as a hotel booking website, though they also have a substantial number of listed apartments. When we conducted searches for daily or weekly rentals in Liverpool around 130 apartments were available, starting at just $79 per night for a two-bedroom property. They also offer a Best Price Guarantee and there’s a comprehensive customer reviews section under each property so you can check out what previous guests have to say before deciding whether to book.

Homelike

A popular platform for monthly furnished rentals, Homelike’s flexible check-in and check-out dates let guests change their plans up to the very last second. While booking via other rental platforms can often be a complex process, Homelike keeps it nice and simple, with photography and essential descriptions of the apartments, and icons used to indicate amenities. During our search, we found 64 apartments available in Liverpool, with prices starting at £650 for monthly rentals (around £21 per night) for a furnished one-bedroom studio in the district of Edge Hill just over a mile southeast of central Liverpool, and rising to £11,673 per month (around £389 per night) for a large and luxurious two-bedroom apartment in the heart of the city centre.
