Condo Rentals in Keystone: The Best Companies

by Davina van Buren  |  Published January 28, 2021

Located in Colorado’s famed Summit County, Keystone is a small but mighty mountain community. Because it is one of the closest resort areas to Denver, it’s a popular getaway for both metro area residents and visitors flying in or out of Denver International Airport. Though it’s known for skiing, Keystone is a popular summer destination with fantastic hiking, mountain biking, fishing, trail running, golf and more.

Condominiums are popular options for vacation rentals in Keystone. Choose an open floor plan with Rocky Mountain views, a multi-story retreat that gives everyone their space, or a cozy condo for two. Many Keystone rentals offer fireplaces, hot tubs and other amenities.

We compared several popular travel sites that book condominiums near Keystone based on the number of condos available, customer service, pricing and other criteria. Here, we present our top three choices.

VRBO is our preferred option for renting condominiums near Keystone. We found more than 20 vacation properties available to rent on the site, in a wide variety of price ranges. Using the filter feature, select “Apartment or Condo” in the Property Type category, then further refine your search by amenities, location and more. Some reservation requests take up to 24 hours to be confirmed by the owner; however an increasing number of properties are available via instant confirmation. Cancellation deadlines vary.

Rates for condos in this popular mountain town run the gamut. Prices typically range from $200–700 USD per night, with more expensive properties offering amenities such as ski-in/ski-out access. You’ll also want to confirm property locations since a “Keystone” search sometimes includes condos in neighboring Frisco or Dillon (which are very close). The downside of VRBO: cleaning and service fees are often more than the price of a one night stay. Use this site for longer stays in order to make it worth your while.

Booking.com

Book at Booking.com

Booking.com is known for affordable hotel lodging, but the site also has an increasing number of condos and other private rentals available. Activate the “Vacation Homes” filter to exclude hotels and only see condominiums and other vacation rentals. While this site has fewer listings than our top pick, more options open up if you have some flexibility on location. (Search nearby Frisco, Dillon or Breckenridge for additional choices.) When condos were listed on both VRBO and Booking.com, we found rates on average are slightly more affordable at this site. We also appreciate their upfront pricing, instant confirmation and flexible cancellation policy.

This locally-owned vacation rental agency has a wide variety of Keystone condo rentals available year-round. We especially like the search filters which allow you to search condos by neighborhood or amenities. The site also has an informative blog and links to purchase lift tickets, ski lessons, car and equipment rentals and more. Most properties have a 2-night minimum, and some have as much as a one-week minimum. Note: this site doesn’t have a filter to search exclusively for condos, so you’ll find a mix of private lodging. However, the site is very easy to navigate with plenty of photos.
