For anyone moving to a new city for work, the decision on where to live can be tricky since you’re unlikely to be familiar with the pros and cons of all the different neighbourhoods. Corporate apartments are the perfect temporary fix for this dilemma, offering you a short-term accommodation solution while you settle down and get your bearings. In New York there are several service providers that specialise in corporate housing – here are three of the best.

Blueground

Headquartered in New York, Blueground offer fully-furnished apartments and studios with flexible leases for stays of 30 days or more. Their listings of professionally-managed turnkey properties include everything from studios to one and two-bed apartments. Stays of more than a month can result in significant savings, as the longer your booking, the cheaper the nightly rate. During our search for New York apartments, we found rates starting from $3,760 per month for a studio in Hudson Yards. Overall, the company lists a huge choice of over 800 available apartments in New York, dotted in and around some of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, including a number within walking distance of the main financial district. However,  be aware that the rental price doesn’t include utilities, insurance or other fees, which can add up to $800 a month or more, and is only shown after requesting to book the property. Booking is simple and intuitive, and there’s also a 24-hour support service accessed via a guest app. You can also save on your total by paying upfront.

Homelike

Another platform for people seeking furnished apartment rentals for a month or longer Homelike offer flexible check-in and check-out dates that allow guests to adapt their plans up to the last minute While booking via other rental platforms can sometimes be a convoluted process, Homelike keeps it as simple as possible, showing photography and essential descriptions of the apartments, with icons used to display the property’s amenities. On our selected dates, we found an impressive 1,138 apartments available in New York, with prices starting at €2,500 per month for a furnished one-bedroom duplex in East Harlem, with easy access to downtown Manhattan. Unlike  Blueground, all prices quoted also include utility costs and any service fees that apply to your chosen property.
