It’s not all fun and games in coastal Santa Monica – the city also has a strong work ethic, with many of its freelancers and self-starters spending their days productively in coworking spaces.

Located west of downtown Los Angeles, the city is home to a large number of coworking venues equipped with  all the amenities you need to work efficiently. They are also great places to meet like-minded folk with whom to share some of the city’s more recreational delights after work hours. BLANKSPACES

With one location in downtown Santa Monica and another on Main Street, BLANKSPACES are one of the city’s most renowned coworking providers. Self-proclaimed as Southern California’s first and oldest coworking community, having launched in 2008, they provide a personal, boutique experience for members. Both venues feature open seating, dedicated desks, private offices, meeting rooms, and event spaces available by the hour, day, week, month, or year. The WorkCafé membership includes use of a shared desk, with prices starting at $80 per week for limited access or $275 per month for 24/7 access. Day passes are also available for $35 per day. All members can make use of printer/copier, complimentary coffee, tea and snacks, Happy Hours and invites to regular events.

There are also custom Business Plan memberships for such needs. All Regus venues also offer open-plan spaces or shared offices, with prices varying by location. In Santa Monica, rates start at $395 per month for full-time use of their Colorado Avenue space.
