London is a big and crowded city and not a good place for dragging a suitcase around. Luckily the UK capital is well equipped with cheap luggage storage solutions where you can offload your bulky suitcases and be free to sight see with ease. Storage companies offer passengers a safe and secure service, with options for both short-term and long-term luggage storage. Whether it is a layover, an early morning check-out or just too many shopping bags – these companies will take the weight off your shoulders.  Here is where to find cheap luggage storage in London.

Nannybag

You may have never heard of it but Nannybag is the largest storage network in the world. It’s super simple too – all you have to do is put in the location you want to leave your bags in London and Nannybag supplies a list of partner hotels, restaurants, and shops where you can safely stash them, then make a reservation via the website or app. Once reservations are crossed checked with IDs, the storage facility labels your luggage using 100 per cent recyclable luggage tags and you’re good to go. For peace of mind the luggage is protected for up to €10000 in case of breakage, loss or theft. Prices star from £4.50 per bag, per day and it is a flat rate regardless of how big the piece of luggage is.

Victoria Coach Station

Left luggage at Victoria Coach station is a reliable, safe way to store your bags. Located opposite the Ticket Office, it is useful for the fact you can also leave bags for an hour for just £2.00, with the rate naturally increasing for longer storage options. Left luggage is open Friday to Wednesday 8:00 to 22:00, closing slightly earlier Thursdays at 20:00. For everyone’s safety the bags are scanned when you drop them off and may need a physical inspection – if you refuse you and your luggage will be turned away. It’s also worth noting that you need to keep the original receipt ticket received at the time of deposit to collect the bags – just saying ‘a big, blue suitcase’ really won’t do. Storage for six to 24 hours costs £10 and there is an additional charge of £6 for each 24-hour period.

Westfield Shopping Centres

When Westfield arrived in London – first in White City in 2008 then Stratford City in 2011 – everyone probably thought they were shopping centres. These huge mall complexes have become much more than that, the Stratford one even sporting a casino and a whopping 28 restaurants. Suffice to say there is also a cloakroom to leave luggage and shopping bags. The locations are not ideal if you are just arriving and wanting to stay around Central London but it is a good option if you also want to check out one of these two shopping palaces too. At Stratford City luggage and handbags cost £5 per item (0 to 4 hours) or £10 per item (4 to 24 hours) and there is a weight restriction of up to and including 15kg per bag/item. At Westfield London (in White City) it is more simple, with a tariff of £5 for small items, £8 for large items and £20 for multiple shopping bags. It goes without saying that drop-off and collection can only be made during opening hours.
