Philadelphia International Airport is located approximately seven miles from the centre of Philadelphia, and serves 25 airlines with nearly 500 daily departures to more than 120 destinations worldwide. Travel time by road from Philly city centre to the airport is around 15 minutes, though if you’re driving during rush hour then it’s recommended to leave extra time to get there, incase you get stuck in traffic.

While you’re unlikely to encounter any problems reaching the airport, finding long term parking for affordable rates is not always as simple. To aid you in finding cheap parking prices, we’ve picked out three online companies offering affordable airport parking both on and off-site, but all within easy reach of the main terminals.
Off-site parking is a popular option for those with time on their hands and are keen to avoid costly official airport parking rates. One of the most renowned companies for offering off-site options is Airport Parking Reservations, who pledge to save travellers money with their great deals. They aggregate rates by external merchants for parking facilities a few miles away and facilitate reservations – though they don’t actually own or operate any car parks themselves. When we searched for Philadelphia airport parking in August, we found several options, with rates as cheap as $5.75 per day for a week’s parking at a facility 5.5 miles away – and with a free airport shuttle included too. You can also narrow your search to include options such as covered and valet parking.
Official airport parking can be pretty pricey, but for convenience it is certainly the superior choice. The Philadelphia Parking Authority provides the only on-site parking at Philadelphia airport, providing quick and easy access to the terminals. The cheapest option for long term official parking is the Economy lot, which costs $11 per day, although these prices rise steeply if you opt for a valet service. There are over 700 spaces here and drivers can also benefit from 24-hour shuttle service, as well as complimentary services such as jump starts, tire changes and lost vehicle locator. The managers are also present on-site at all hours of the day in order to respond to customers’ needs.
Airport hotels can be a godsend for people travelling late at night or are stepping off a red-eye flight and don’t want to jump straight back into their car before a decent night’s sleep. But once you’ve bought your flight, your long term parking and your hotel, you’re likely to have laid out a fair old whack of money. ParkSleepFly help to ease this pain by offering cheap packages that combines hotel stays with long term parking. When we searched for deals for Philadelphia airport in August, we found two available packages. The cheapest was an overnight stay at Days Inn, located 2 miles away from the airport, which when bundled with a week’s parking would cost you just $61 – a $30 saving on booking the same hotel and parking separately. The next cheapest deal was $63 for a one-night stay at the Red Carpet Inn, just over a mile away, plus parking, representing a $26 saving. Both of these deals also came with a free airport shuttle and a free cancellation policy too.
