Thirteen miles south of downtown San Francisco, San Francisco International Airport has flights to points throughout North America and is a major gateway to Europe and Asia. It is the seventh-busiest airport in the US, with almost 27 million passengers passing through it annually. Typical driving time from downtown to the airport is around 30 minutes, but traffic can make this journey lengthier. Many international airlines request that you arrive three hours in advance of our flight, so be sure to check your chosen airline’s policy before you travel.

If you need to park your car at San Francisco Airport, there are a number of excellent parking deals to pick from. Both off site parking and on site parking are both available, with long term parking near San Francisco Airport typically representing the most affordable options. These cheap parking deals usually include a free shuttle service to the terminal, too. Below you’ll find three of the best ways to book airport parking at San Francisco Airport online.
Airport Parking Reservations are one of the major online players in the airport parking sector, promising to save you money by offering cheap parking deals at airports across the US. The company doesn’t own parking facilities themselves, but they aggregate rates to allow you to pick the best one for your budget and needs. When we searched for parking rates at SFO, we found plenty of options, starting at $13.99 per day. Most of these deals also included covered parking, a free shuttle service to and from the terminal, and free cancellations too.
Official airport parking is invariably the most expensive option, but for sheer convenience it’s impossible to beat. There are six options for long-term parking at San Francisco Airport: the Domestic Parking Garage, International Parking Garages A and G, the Long-Term Garage, the ParkFast Garage and ParkValet. The Long-Term Garage and Lot are north of the airport and charge $25 per day. For those happy to push the boat out, valet parking is $45 per day. You can also park for $10 per day at an official off-site parking facility that provides shuttle service to the terminals.
Airport hotels are a necessary feature of travel for vast numbers of airline passengers every year. At San Francisco SFO, there are several hotels situated within easy reach of the airport, offering the chance for some rest the night before your trip, or after landing. Park Sleep Fly offer packages that combine long term parking near San Francisco Airport – and indeed airports across the world – with hotel stays. The big plus of these packages are that they are typically cheaper than booking them independently. When we did a search for San Francisco, we found a total of 12 available deals. The cheapest was an overnight stay at the Ramada Hotel, located 3 miles from the airport, which when bundled with a week’s parking would cost $202. This includes an airport shuttle, as well as free cancellation.
