Located 7 miles south of Atlanta’s central business district, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport serves as a major hub for flights throughout the South and East of the United States. The airport is the primary hub of Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, ExpressJet and also for some low-cost carriers. Travel time by road from downtown Atlanta to the airport can be as little as 20 minutes without traffic, although it’s always advised to set off with plenty of time to spare.

There is abundant official parking at Atlanta ATL Airport, with an impressive 12 on-site lots, although this does tend to be more expensive than remote parking. There are three options for long-term parking at Atlanta: the Daily Lot, Economy Parking Lots and Park Ride Lots. Daily parking costs range from $10 for Park & Ride Lots to $36 per day if you were to leave your car in the international hourly lots. The 4-level Daily Lot is directly across from each terminal, the North and South Lots are next to the parking decks, and the West Economy Lot at the West end of the terminal. The Airport Park-Ride lots offer convenient services to both Terminal North and Terminal South and a free shuttle bus will take you to curbside check-in.

Most airports have a number of hotels dotted nearby, which are particularly popular with business travellers or anyone keen to get a good night’s sleep after a long flight before hitting the road. Park Sleep Fly offer packages that include parking and hotel stays before or after your flight, often with a free shuttle to and from the terminal thrown into the bargain too. The benefit of booking the two as a package is that this tends to be far cheaper than booking them individually. When we searched for deals for Atlanta Airport in November, we found an impressive 14 deals available. Among them was an overnight stay at Super 8 by Wyndham, located 3.1 miles from the airport, which when bundled with a week’s parking would cost just $88. All of the deals we found also came with a free cancellation policy too.
