Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is located 9 miles south of downtown Baltimore and 32 miles northeast of Washington, D.C. It is the busiest airport in the region, serving over 25 million passengers a year. If you’re travelling from Baltimore city centre to the airport by road, then you can expect a journey time of around 15 minutes, but it’s always advisable to leave with time to spare, in case you hit any unforeseen problems.

Parking rates at BWI Airport can vary significantly, depending on whether you opt for official or unofficial parking, how close to the airport you want to leave your car, and how long your car will be left there for. To help you find the best parking deals for your specific preferences and needs, we’ve done our research and whittled down the options to three.
If you’re happy to go for off site parking that requires a bus shuttle or taxi to the airport, then one of the best websites for finding cheap parking at Baltimore airport is Way.com. The site is essentially a price comparison resource that pulls together all of the available deals offered by parking providers in the area based on your selected dates of travel. Once you’ve found the deal you want, you can book it through the site or through the Way.com smartphone app. When we searched for long term parking near bwi airport, we found 9 options, starting at just $3.45 per day for a parking lot situated 2 miles from the airport. The website also offers a generous cancellation policy that allows you to cancel your booking up to your check-in time with no charge.
If you want the peace of mind of booking official airport parking, then BWI offers Valet, Daily Garage, and Long Term Parking options. The most economical choice is the two Long Term Parking lots containing more than 10,000 spaces for business which are available for $8 a day all-inclusive of all fees. For covered parking, you can find thousands of covered spots at the Daily Garage for $12 a day, which has Smart Park technology that uses coloured lights to guide you to a free pace. Courtesy shuttles run to and from both the Long Term Lots and Daily Garage every 5-10 minutes.
If you need an airport hotel as well as airport parking, then a useful way to keep your costs down is to book both together. ParkSleepFly allow you to do just this by bundling together hotel and parking packages that usually works out a fair bit cheaper than booking them individually. When we searched for deals for BWI airport in June, we found 9 available packages. The cheapest was an overnight stay at Comfort Inn & Suite, located 3.7 miles from the airport, which when bundled with a week’s parking would cost you $124 – a saving of $11. The next cheapest deal was $134 for a one-night stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites, 7 miles away, plus parking – which would save you $9. Both of these deals also include an airport shuttle and a free cancellation policy too.
