Located on the far northwest side of Chicago, 14 miles from the Windy City’s famous Loop district, O’Hare International Airport is one of America’s busiest transport hubs and has direct flights to more than 200 destinations across the world. Reaching the airport by road from the city centre can normally be done in around 20 minutes, but if you’re travelling during busy periods than we’d advise allowing for at least 30 minutes.

There are plenty of options for long term parking near O’Hare airport, but finding a cheap parking deal isn’t always the easiest task. If you’re flying in and out of Boston any time soon and need somewhere to park your car while you’re away, we’ve dug deep and picked out three of the best online resources for finding economy parking rates at ORD. You’ll find our selection below.
An effective method for finding affordable airport parking deals is to use a price comparison – or “aggregator” – site such as Way. After selecting your chosen dates of travel, you’re presented with deals by local parking providers offering off site parking within easy reach of the airport, often with airport shuttles and 24-hour security thrown into the bargain too. In terms of booking, you can do this either online or by downloading the Way smartphone app and doing it on there instead. Rates tend to be cheaper the longer the duration of your booking, so if you need several weeks’ parking you’re likely to find some seriously good deals. When we searched for long term parking near O’Hare Airport, we found 54 options, starting at $6.95 per day for parking just 0.8 miles from the airport. Also attractive is that you can cancel any time before your check-in period and still get a full refund.
When it comes to alleviating the stresses of air travel, the temptation to go for the most convenient option usually wins out. Unfortunately the most convenient option for an airport parking spot tends to come at a price. There are several long and short term parking options at O’Hare airport, with the Economy Lots the best in terms of price. Here the daily rates range between $10 and $17 per day with Lot G being the most economical choice with a rate of $10 per day. Free shuttle buses routinely operate within each of the Economy Lots, dropping passengers off at Lot E where the free Airport Transit System then takes them to each of the terminals. The bus shuttles operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
For weary eyed travellers, an airport hotel can be a life-saver. The problem is, if you’re also paying for a flight and airport parking, you could end up blowing a serious hole in your budget for the privilege of a good night’s sleep before or after your trip. ParkSleepFly bill themselves as the antidote to this problem by offering great package deals that combine long term parking and hotels at cheaper rates than you’d get by booking them individually. When we searched for deals for O’Hare airport in August, we found two available packages. The cheapest was an overnight stay at Super 8 by Wyndham, located 4 miles from the airport, which when bundled with a week’s parking would cost you $120 – that’s a saving of $18 compared to booking them separately. The next cheapest deal was $134 for a one-night stay at the Holiday Inn Mount Prospect, 11 miles away, plus parking – which would save you $12. Another perk is that these deals usually come with a free airport shuttle and a free cancellation policy too.
