For anyone needing a temporary living solution, short-term rentals provide many of the advantages of a long lease but without the commitment. Short let properties also tend to come furnished and with ‘home from home’ amenities such as kitchens and living spaces that you wouldn’t get in a hotel. In Brooklyn, there are a large number of places available for short let. We’ve done some research and selected some of the best companies offering short-term or monthly furnished rentals across the famous NYC borough.

Booking.com

Better known as a hotel reservations service, Booking.com also lists a large number of apartments of varying sizes and price points that are available for short-term lets of 7 days or fewer. When we searched for short-term rentals in Brooklyn across several dates, we found over 120 apartments scattered across the borough, in neighbourhoods as far and wide as Brooklyn Heights and Williamsburg. The cheapest deal we found was $1,128 per week for a two-bedroom apartment close to New Lots. All bookings made on Booking.com also come with a Best Price Guarantee and there’s a comprehensive reviews section with testimonies on former guests’ experience at specific properties.

The Blueground

Founded in 2013, Blueground are known for listing a large number of luxury apartments. Their professionally-managed properties span everything from studios to multi-bedroom apartments. Stays of more than a month can lead to large savings, as the longer your booking, the cheaper the nightly rate. During our search for Brooklyn properties, we found approaching 100 available, with rates starting at $3,060 month for a ultra-modern 3-bedroom apartment in the neighbourhood of Bushwick. The booking process is simple, and there’s a 24-hour support service accessed via a guest app.
