Where to Buy Cheap San Francisco Giants Tickets

The San Francisco Giants are one of the most storied and successful teams in Major League Baseball. For this reason, tickets to Giants games may be hard to come by, but options for cheap tickets still exist.

The San Francisco Giants play in Major League Baseball’s National League West division but were founded in 1883 as the New York Gothams. The team adopted the name Giants in 1885 and eventually relocated to San Francisco in 1958. The Giants have made it to the World Series a record 20 times and battle for National League supremacy with their rival the Los Angeles Dodgers.

As the Gothams and Giants the team played in the famed Polo Grounds of New York, but since 2000 Oracle Park has been their home on the bay. The water is one of the most prominent features of the park as home run balls over the right field wall often splash into the colloquially named McCovey Cove, named after a Giants great, the left-handed power hitter Willie “Stretch” McCovey. The picturesque spectacle of a stadium is high on the must-visit list of many MLB fans. Nestled in the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood, the stadium neighbors museums and software headquarters.

Single Game Tickets

Most Giants home games sell out in advance. In 2017, a consecutive 530-game sell out streak came to an end. In 2021, the Giants were even selling out Cactus League spring training games at Scottsdale Stadium in Arizona. Although some tickets may be hard to come by for the passive fan, finding single game tickets is easy through a second party site like StubHub. Searching for San Francisco Giants on StubHub brings results from home and away games, so make sure to choose the correct venue.

Locating available tickets on StubHub is easy. Search for San Francisco Giants and find the correct game date and opponent. Selecting a game will bring up a stadium map with highlighted sections showing where seats are available. The sliding column on the left of the website defaults to the most affordable seats and when selected highlights the seat location on the stadium map. Conversely, by clicking on a section on the stadium the left column displays only seats available in the selected section. The right column on the StubHub site allows fans to refine the seat search based on number of seats available, price, and features like wheelchair access, parking passes, and aisle seats.

How much are tickets? Cost depends on the view of the game and the opponent, but most seats at Oracle Park are affordable to the average fan. This might be one of the reasons the games sell out so easily. The most affordable sections are View Reserve seats located at the top of the stadium from the first base line to left field. Another way to find cheap tickets to a Giants game is to search for seats in the two outfield bleacher sections. Even the Premium Bleacher seats are affordable at $35 or less depending on the game. Although 415 feet from home plate, seats in the Center Field Bleachers offer an up-close view of both teams’ bullpens; these seats are some of the lowest price views in the stadium. After finding the perfect seats, the checkout process on StubHub is simple. Clicking the purchase button allows customers to sign in as a guest or create an account. As a guest account, simply enter a valid email and mobile number for ticket delivery. Review the purchase and buy.

To use digital tickets StubHub recommends downloading the mobile app, which only takes a few minutes. Once logged in, select My Tickets and any purchased tickets will appear along with an order history and order number. From here users can view tickets for admission into the venue. A mobile ticket notice is also sent to the account email. StubHub suggests making sure the tickets are what was ordered. Purchaser name does not need to be on tickets and face value of ticket may differ from price paid.

Special and Group Tickets

Standard group ticketing is for 15 or more guests and includes discount pricing, scoreboard recognition, and other special benefits. Premium Hospitality packages can host groups of 2 to 400, whether in seats directly behind home plate or in a myriad of suites. The stadium also has a baseline box offering a field level view for 25 guests. Rates for special and group tickets can be found by contacting the team via the official San Francisco Giants website. The Giants also hold a number of theme nights including Little League Day, cultural heritage days, and special nights for nurses, firefighters, and law enforcement.

Where to Park

Dozens of parking lots and garages surround Oracle Park. The organization encourages fans to reserve parking in advance through Spot Hero and urges fans to consider parking at facilities near their routes into and out of the area. Parking is usually more affordable further from the ballpark and could save fans a bit of money. Parking fees can run anywhere from $20 to $100, and rates fluctuate for in-demand games.
