Montauk belongs to the Hamptons, that enduringly popular destination of Americans both mega-rich and not-so-rich for well over a century. Situated on the eastern end of Long Island, Montauk is a much-adored hamlet within an entire family of beloved vacation towns. State parks abound, as does fishing. You can probably guess that the Atlantic’s waters magnetize people to return here, year after year.
As with many locations in the Hamptons, there’s plenty of lodging and accommodations for travelers. Just note that prices do run somewhat higher compared to other oceanfront locales. But if you can spare the cash, there aren’t many places worthier of your indulgence. Here are several hotels where you can start indulging.
