Singapore claims to have some of Asia’s best 5-star hotels, but it’s surprising how much variation in quality can exist within that seemingly exquisite bracket.

One of the absolute jewels in the crown of Singaporean hoteliers is the Marina Bay Sands. From its rooftop infinity pool (the largest in the world) that stretches along the top of the iconic building, to the ArtScience Museum and 20 dining options on site, there is perhaps no hotel quite like this one in the entire world. The hotel, which is located right by the Marina Bayfront MRT station, offers interiors that are just as impressive as the exteriors. Even the most basic rooms have a deep-soak bathtub, 24 hour room service and perhaps some of the most spacious rooms in Singapore. They don’t come much better that the Marina Bay Sands.

There is a degree of finesse and style that one comes to expect of the InterContinental brand, and their Singapore property epitomises these values. With the Chinatown MRT station just around the corner, it’s safe to assume that the Parkroyal on Pickering is located right in the thick of Singapore’s action. The architecture of this excellent hotel is unlike that of any other, and only adds to the hotel’s allure.
