The location is six miles from the amusement park, four miles to Jackson St. Pier, and is easily accessed by Ohio State Route 2. For those simply looking to hang out at the campground, Camp Sandusky offers a heated swimming pool, sports areas, and pedal car rentals. Kelleys Island State Park Campground

A half hour drive and a half hour ferry ride from Cedar Point takes visitors to Kelleys Island State Park with hiking trails, fishing pier, and a public beach. Kelleys Island is a 677-acre park and is known as Lake Erie’s Emerald Isle. “Rent-a-camp” sites are available and include a large wooden hut, camp stove, cots, and more. For those who like a little more glamp in their camp experience, the park offers yurts with a limited kitchen and private bath. Coleman gear fans will feel at home in the Wine Country Treasure, a single, 4-person campsite in Northern Ohio. Hosted by a former world traveler, this rustic site serves as a gateway to Ohio’s wine country in the Grand River Valley. The property features acres of hiking trails and an adjacent goat ranch.
