Mallorca has long been lauded for its stellar beach resorts, but less so for its wine. Now, with an increasing number of wineries popping up across the island, Mallorcan wines are growing in popularity. Many of the best sit in one of the island’s two Spanish D.O. regions – Binissalem and Pla i Llevent – though there are plenty more to be discovered. The easiest and most affordable way to explore some of the best of them is on a wine tour. From group excursions to a private winery tour, here are five of the best Mallorca wine tours based on itinerary, value for money and customer reviews.

Bodegas Vi Rei: Vineyard and Train Tour

This cheap and cheerful tour offers an affordable introduction to Mallorcan wines at one of the island’s most reputable wineries. The experience includes a panoramic train journey across the 85-hectare terraced vineyards of Bodegas Vi Rei, which is well known for both its indigenous wines like Premsal Blanc and Mantonegro, as well as international favourites, like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. A guided tour of the production area, including the fermentation hall, storage area and bottling line follows. The experience wraps up with a tasting of four of the winery’s best-selling bottles. From £21.35 per person.
