At GEG airport, the car rental counters are located in the Ground Transportation Center just beyond Baggage Claims 1–3, near Concourse A. To determine which rental car companies offer the best vehicles across our three categories (Most Affordable, Best for Luxury, Best for Minivans), TravelMag.com carefully researched prices, availability, policies and customer reviews of the eight car rental companies operating out of GEG. Here are our findings:

Most Affordable: Enterprise

For the ‘Most Affordable’ category, we found Enterprise to have the best choice of cheap car rentals. Enterprise, and its sister company, Alamo, were equal price-wise on a number of vehicle classes, including economy, compact, intermediate and even small SUVs. Interestingly, rates charged by both companies are only slightly higher on larger cars, so a BMX3 is a mere $30 more per day than a compact car like a Mitsubishi Mirage. That might seem like a lot of money, but when you consider the Mirage is $230 per day, it’s relatively little. Users consistently bestowed high marks on Enterprise, specifically noting quick drop-off times, and the cleanliness and overall condition of its vehicles.

Best for Luxury: Enterprise

With great customer feedback, impeccably clean vehicles and an efficient pick-up and drop-off procedure, Enterprise takes the top spot for best car rental company in the luxury category at GEG airport. Out of the 7 categories on popular car rental site, rentalcars.com, it scored a staggering 10/10 on 4 of them. On our researched dates, the rentals prices on premium vehicles like the Audi Q3 and Cadillac XTS were similar to other companies for their standard sedans. But it’s their generous rewards program is what really makes it the best choice for luxury. Enterprise Plus allows frequent users to quickly accrue points — one point for each dollar — which can be then traded in for free rentals and free upgrades. Moreover, as long as you remain an active member with at least one qualifying rental every three years, the points never expire

Best for Minivans: Alamo

Our pick for minivans at Spokane Airport went to Alamo which offers a great balance of value-for-money, choice and amenities. On our researched dates, Alamo consistently came with the cheapest options offering trusted favourites like the 7-seater Dodge Grand Canyon and 15-seaters like the Ford Transit at excellent prices. If you’re not hauling around a large family plus a lot of luggage, Alamo also rents out roomy sedans like the Hyundai Elantra and the Volkswagen Jetta.
