One of the most popular ways to explore these pristine waters is on a yachting charter with several companies located in the region offering a range of cruises here. Many of them are also based out of St Petersburg, the so-called Sunshine City that’s part of the Tampa Bay area. SamBoat are a reputable peer-to-peer company that provides a marketplace for yacht owners to advertise their vessels for prospective renters. After identifying your preferred boat, you send a booking request to the owner. If the request is accepted, you pay your rental fees online, with the amount deposited to the owner on the first day of your rental. When the day comes, you board the boat and make sure it corresponds to the descriptions before signing on the dotted line and embarking on your charter adventure. With a huge number of vessels available for hire across the globe, Click & Boat are a well-established name in the peer to peer boat charter sector. Yacht owners can create a free listing for their boat and renters can then contact them directly. While bareboat rentals are the cheapest option, some boats also come with captain onboard, providing you’re willing to pay the extra cost. In the Tampa Bay area, we found over 100 boat rentals available, with prices starting at $130 per day for a 3-metre powerboat mini, not including fees (which can be rather high). Many of the boats’ owners also provide water sports equipment for your rental, too.
