Highlights of the tour
Below are some of the most significant spots you’ll encounter during the Third Reich tour:
The Hofbräuhaus beer hall: Today a 3-floor beer hall packed nightly with locals and tourists, back in 1920 the Hofbräuhaus was the scene of Hitler and the National Socialists’ very first meeting

Brienner Strasse Gestapo HQ: The location of the Gestapo headquarters during the Third Reich – and from 1934/35 a Gestapo prison – the now entirely new building has a plaque on the outside marking its significance.
The Feldherrnhalle: The place where in 1923 Hitler’s attempted putsch was defeated, leading to the hall becoming an iconic destination for the National Socialists and a propaganda tool for the party.
The Führerbau: The building where the fateful Munich Agreement was signed in 1938, approving the German annexation of part of Czechoslovakia. Also used a representative building for Adolf Hitler.
Nazi Party district and marching grounds: The former administrative heart of the Nazi Party, this area in n Maxvorstadt, just north of Munich’s historic centre, was used for rallies and ceremonial marches, with its layout and architecture playing a prime role in the regime’s propaganda efforts.
The Hofgarten: A renaissance-style garden in central Munich, through which official Nazi processions and events often ran.
