The island’s location in the south of the Mediterranean ensures that it benefits from a glorious climate and long summer charter season, with the weather pleasant from April all the way through to October. Whether embarking on a charter on board a crewed sailing yacht, a solo catamaran, or a sleek sports yacht, you’re destined to be enchanted by the island’s heady mix of sun, beaches and local culture. To help you plan your trip, here are 3 of the best companies for yacht charters in Malta.

SamBoat

Our top choice for Malta  charters is SamBoat, a market leader in peer-to-peer boat rentals.  With SamBoat, the rental process is easy and intuitive. You simply search for your ideal boat according to price, size, dates of travel and other requirements, then when you’ve found an available vessel that fits the bill you send a booking request to the owner. If the request is accepted, you pay your rental online, with the amount deposited to the owner on the first day of your rental. When the day comes, you board the boat and make sure it corresponds to the descriptions before signing on the dotted line and embarking on your charter adventure. When we searched for charters in Malta, we found 144 yachts available (both crewed and bareboat) with the majority being motorboats and sailboats, and a sprinkling of cats, too. Prices started at €187 for an 8.2-metre sailboat that accommodates up to three people.

Sailing Charters Malta

Founded in 2009, Sailing Charters Malta are a family owned and run company with a big reputation. Boasting the best Trip Advisor reviews of all Malta charterers, they pride themselves on their highly remarkable service, including a meet-and-greet with every individual customer who comes on their yachts. Today the company owns a fleet of six yachts and one rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB), also offering some vessels including Catamarans from trusted and selected third parties. Along with modern, spotlessly clean yachts, they also provide professional skippers. A choice of day, multi-day or evening charters are available.

One of the biggest names in the industry, Boatbookings have a total of 12 yachts for charter in Malta, including 2 motorboats, 9 sailing yachts, and 1 catamaran. Of all these vessels, 3 are available crewed and 9 as bareboat. As for price, the cheapest yacht charter we could find during our search was for a 11.3-metre sailing boat available from €1,780 per week. Other useful website features include a section dedicated to feedback from previous charter guests for each vessel, while the search function also lets you specify yachts with particular on-board amenities such as fishing and scuba equipment.
